Greaser2
I’m looking at going with a 16x8 wheel. Which do think would be better for an offset. 19 or -13? Not sure where my clearance issues are most likely to be at, inside or fender. Haven’t decided on the tire yet. 1 Quote Link to comment
d.p
-13 all the way. That’s the sweet spot for 521s. Anyone who says differently is lying. 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
Any opinions on using a 16x10 in the rear? 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
Just now, d.p said: -13 all the way. That’s the sweet spot for 521s. Anyone who says differently is lying. That was my thought as well. 1 Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
16 x 8 for my 620 has to be near 0 offset. The ones I just picked up are -1 offset. Don't remember my 521 having more clearance than the 620. With 7" width, a -15 brings the wheel out to the inner edge of the fender. (what I was running) An 8" wheel will have 1/2" more per side, which would put it 1/2" out side the fender. Unless you put silly skinny tires on it, or want to cut the wheel wells out, and add flares. 1 Quote Link to comment
mainer311
-13. I’m running -19 and it sticks out a tad too much. 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
I actually got them to make it a 0 offset so will see how it works 1 Quote Link to comment
mainer311
It'll probably be fine. Don't get big balloony tires, or else it might rub on the sway bar. 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
I will test fit the wheels when I get them and thinking 205/40 16 tires will closely match the original wheel tire size. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ouhsx06amf5nrde/2054016.jpeg?dl=0 1 Quote Link to comment
Greaser2
Just got in the 16x8 0 offset. Mounted 205/50 tires and the torsion lowered 3 splines. The 0 offset fit perfect. The outside edge is almost dead on with the outside of the fender. No clearance issues. If you like the tire to stick out, then you will need to go in the minus direction and there should also be no clearance issues. On the rear a 16x10 will fit but probably need a -13 to not rub on the inside and the wheel will still stick out about an 1.5”. 1 Quote Link to comment
