jkelm24
All of the firewall rubber grommets are rotted and cracked on my 620. Has anyone found a trusted source for good grommets for your trucks? Does the 620 share the same size grommets as the Z cars? Wiper Acc Cable Speedo Cable Harness Steering Column Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment
sebpv
unfortunately from what i gather the harness grommet only comes with the harness. It is also my desite to change it. The other grommets I ordered on various websites: rockauto, amazon, parts train. Edited March 2, 2019 by sebpv 1 Quote Link to comment

2wheel-lee
I just found one of the steering wheel grommets online last week...I just can't find that site again. It was pricey, though. 1 Quote Link to comment

Stoffregen Motorsports
I use a lot of these grommets and firewall boots in my engine swaps, and I have still yet to find a good source. I have compiled a list of suppliers I use, but some of the boots are actual crap. The universal firewall boot from Daystar is good for most old car applications (with small connectors), but they are not cheap. Here's my list. Firewall boots and grommets. Nissan Z, Large dia. 90 deg., 1" bundle, 2" hole - http://www.wiringspecialties.com/firewallboot.html Daystar universal, 3/8" to 1", 1.25" hole, not cheap, but effective - https://www.amazon.com/Daystar-Universal-Firewall-Accommodates-KU20040BK/dp/B004K2285E Repro Camaro boots and grommets in various sizes - https://www.classicindustries.com/shop/all-years/chevrolet/camaro/parts/weatherstrip/firewall-seals/ Manufacturer - https://ritus.com/product/firewall-grommets/ Toyota LC, oval, expensive - https://www.cityracerllc.com/products/firewall-grommet-for-79-to-84-land-cruiser-fj40 Bronco brake pedal boot - https://www.tomsbroncoparts.com/product/power-brake-push-rod-to-firewall-boot-76-77-early-ford-bronco-new Misc - https://www.efihardware.com/products/c537/Boots 3 Quote Link to comment

I know this guy/ebay seller knows people in Asia that will make any rubber products you want, but they want someone else to pay for the tooling, then after they make fill the order, they will make more of them with the tooling you paid for, and sell them out the back door to others. 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
Just an ebay listing I came across. I believe the part is produced and available for sale. Thank you Wayno for helping to keep ratsun people from getting ripped off. Quote Link to comment

Thank you Wayno for helping to keep ratsun people from getting ripped off. It's alright to buy from that guy if the parts exist already, I just don't want anyone thinking if he had made that part, maybe he could have this part made also if I ask him. My friend got ripped off by that guy, but the guy he bought the car from is the one that gave the parts to that guy, I guess he is a smooth talker, he talked the guy out of his parts saying he would get them back after they copied them, but once the Asian guys got them they never returned them, but that rotary Products guy made money selling copies of them parts, but my friend never got a set of them copies either, they were worth over $5000.00 over there in Australia. Every time I see that guy selling new parts I wonder who got ripped off as he is likely buying them thru the back door from them Asian guys after someone else paid for the molds, that someone else is the one that got ripped off that time. But if them guys were not ripping people off all over the world we would likely not have all these reproduced parts we have now, I just don't want anyone I know being ripped off. 2 Quote Link to comment
jkelm24
Purchased a steering column boot from the eBay supplier. When it arrived, I discovered it was the wrong boot. It's directly opposite of what's needed and appears to be molded RHD, not LHD. I should have noticed in the posted pictures... but... So, I'm back to square one. Has anyone found a working solution to seal the steering column at the firewall on a LHD 620? 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Any chance its inside out? Not even sure if that's possible just popped into my head..... On my 521 I actually just made one for the steering column out of some thick rubber..... the 521 has a trim piece that holds it in place..... Sometimes you have to get creative... I actually am using some small block Chevy valve cover breather grommets to run wires through a couple of my fire wall holes.... 3 Quote Link to comment
wayno
Try what Crashtd420 suggested, reverse the seal and see if it will work and let us know. If it is not reversible then why is a guy from Australia advertising right hand drive parts in a left hand drive country ebay, I do not believe he is stupid as he has been doing this for a while(making rubber parts). 1 Quote Link to comment
