I wouldn't recommend it. I've since fixed the issue. I was able to get some large heat shrink tubing to go around the rubber connector. Turned on defroster and tubing shrunk to fit connector, problem solved. For now. I have never had a 520 or a 521 heater get hot enough to melt the adhesive on duct tape! LOL Quote Link to comment
wayno
I have Charlie, during the summer, I run my heater every time I drive the work truck, doesn't matter if summer or winter, I figured it helped cool the engine as I am using a stock 521 radiator with my LZ23 and i have my foot into the pedal most the time as it takes power to move 6000/7000lbs up grades and to get it moving when it is loaded up. The outer coating of the duct tape disintegrated and what was left was a sticky stringy mess, I am sure it is over a 100 degrees down there on hot summer days in my truck. Charlie69
You got me on that one Wayno. I have never run my heater here in Phoenix in the summer. Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
Bosch 35mm vacuum hose fits the heater box perfect. I didn't have a spare dash duct handy to try that end. 1 Quote Link to comment
