I used a brake handle from a Sunbeam Alpine/Tiger, and mounted it between the drivers door and the drivers seat.  Had a local cable shop make a custom cable.

I've only had a RHD 510 wagon, which uses a pulley system to get the cable to the right side of the rear axle.  Not sure the sedan uses the same.  It was very simple to do, and it gets rid of the big, clunky handle assembly under the dash.

Scroll down near the bottom of this page, and there are a couple of pics in my thread.

All USA spec LHD 68-73 2dr 4dr & Wagon use the same under dash e/brake handle assembly.  The Wagon will have different hardware & cables at the rear diff.  I would venture a GUESS that the handle assembly is RHD vs LHD cuz other side of the car!
