Eric
anyone fitted a non datsun steering rack to their front steered datsun? It looks like bmw, mazda mx5, subaru are also front steer but any more info on what do's and don's will be highly appreciated. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
You mean the steering box is in front of the wheels like the Datsun trucks? Quote Link to comment
volkswagner
I assume you mean the tie rod pivots being in front of the ball joint. A trick we learned, dont eliminate rear steer as an option. If thhey sold a RHD version of a rear steer car you can buy that ravk and flip it to use in a LHD front steer system. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Which datsun? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Will it have enough turn radius??? Wouldn't rear steer be very subtle and just slightly turn the wheels?? Quote Link to comment
Duke
Look at MKII Ford Escort racks. Similar width to many Datsuns as well as being front steer. Also came in LHD and RHD. New racks are available in many different ratio's. Quote Link to comment
