Best bet is from an old L20B distributor.

 

Suck on the hose to the advance mechanism (make sure the hose is not cracked) and the rotor should turn clockwise about an inch and hold till you release the suction. If it does this it is presumed to be doing it's job.

Try an ad in classifieds. It isn't big, so shipping is no biggie.

 

There was a different advance for every year, auto, manual, California, federal on and on ... The engines are the same and better one from something than none at all.
