F/A,

I'd go with a Kirkey road race seat. The low back seat may be period correct, but it is nowhere near as safe as a seat with an integral headrest.

I couldn't agree more. Safety is absolutely #1. I cringe when I see people installing low back seats. Get some good seats and some good mounts please.

This was my buddies car. He spent two years driving it. Second drive he was sitting at a stop light and got rear ended at 60mph by a drunk. Imagine yourself in that car with a low back? He walked away. After seeing his car get drug back to the shop I ripped out my seat mounts and redid them...

Latest update on my project. It got sidelined waiting for winter to be over and while I finish my kitchen remodel. However, I have sourced and procured most of the parts for the build. Lots of trick vintage stuff. Just sourced a vintage Fibertech bucket that I will make a pattern from and then make copies for my car and a friend who is loaning me the seat. It will look a lot like the original BRE type seat. Hopefully will start work on the body shell (media blast and roll cage) by July. Photos up as soon as it gets media blasted.
