keepitcool12
I bought the 252s cam from compcams and i have stock lash pads but does anybody know what size id need so I don't have to buy a bunch of different size lash pads? http://www.compperformancegroupstores.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=CC&Product_Code=84-119-6&Category_Code= There is a link with all of the info on the cam. If anybody has done this same cam any info would be awesome, or if any info on the smartest way to do this. It's my first build so I don't want to blow it. Thanks everybody! Mark G. datzenmike
Stock valve lift is 0.433" (unless a misprint. L20B are 0.413") with a 1.48 : 1 rocker ratio so I don't know about this 0.400" @ 1.6:1 ratio rocker (Nissan uses 1.48 rocker ratio) ... Measure across the highest section of your new cam lobe and also the narrowest. That's valve full open and full closed. Subtract and this is the lobe lift. Multiply by the rocker ratio (which is 1.48 on the L series) and this will give valve lift. See what you get first. Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Mike, how does that relate to lash pad thickness ?? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Have to know where you are starting from first. I assume the L6 cam is very similar to the L20B cam just as the springs and the rockers are. I would expect the L6 lift to be around 0.413" The specs on the after market cam seem odd at 0.400" lift with a 1.6 ratio rocker don't you think? Quote Link to comment
