murphy1600
Hi everyone, I need some new parts for my 73 1200, does anyone have any idea of where I can find some? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Pretty vague. High wear items like tires, oil, air and gas filters, steering ball joints, brake shoes, pads and rotors, U joints can probably be found still at auto parts shops and maybe on line at e-Bay. Interior, trim, exterior body parts, major engine, transmission and axle and drive line components you'll probably have to get from a wrecking yard, another owner/enthusiast or sitting on somone's property. Sometimes cheaper/easier to find another non operating (parts) car complete and strip it for the needed parts. New 1200 parts? There are none. There may be re-manufactured parts over seas sold as New Old Stock but buyer beware. They are not good quality but if you need that certain emblem or tail light lens... it's all there is. Morrisun
You may want to take a look at this site, but pay close attention to what MAY be reproduction parts. LINK: http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-1200-parts.html Classic Garage is also a source for parts. LINK: http://classicgarage.com/12002.html Les at Classic Datsun Motorsports has NEW fiberglass parts, like front spoiler and fender flares, his website is down, you MAY find him on Face Book?? Phone # (760) 940-6365 Thought not new parts, online 1200 manual is helpful LINK: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsunB110/Datsun1200Index.aspx The down under 1200 site can be helpful in placing ads in classifieds, LINK: http://datsun1200.com/modules/newbb/ And of course there is those of us that have a few NOS factory parts stashed for trades for more of the same. Good Luck! 1 Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Like Morrisun mentioned, I have used new Datsun parts for a number of parts on my 1200 and have not been disappointed. I have also used BProjects out of Japan. The prices can be a bit high but again, to this point I have not been disappointed. My 2 cents worth. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Only new parts I have purchased for the 1200 coupe have been Floors, inner, and outer Sills. Ordered them custom from AUS for a small justified fortune. All other new items I have to make. Quote Link to comment
murphy1600
Thanks for the info, I have tried new Datsun parts but they really didn't have what I need. I want to find the price of a new center console for a 73 coupe, because I have an extra one that I got about 10 yrs ago and just found it in storage at my parents house. So I was trying to figure out what I should sell it for. Quote Link to comment
Draker
If it's the standard center console without the clock, probably $100-200 maybe? If it's the one with the clock, $350+ Just an educated guess. Quote Link to comment
njoz1200ute
Fair educated guess as the used clock alone goes for 150 to 250. Coupe consoles are more rare than Sedan/wagon/ute. Quote Link to comment
