I did this once by removing the valves and used a chisel to slit the liner in 3-4 places and twist the pieces out. First one took 45 min the last one 15. The ports also have raised bumps, (you can almost make them out) to keep the metal away from the port walls which would cool them too much. The idea is for the liners to glow hot enough to burn off any hydrocarbons. Quote Link to comment
