720 King Cab Killer
I have two wires that Im sure supply's power to the AC compressors. Turned the key on pulled out the little AC switch in the cab controls and the blue light cam on that says AC. I'm not getting any power to the two wires. Even with the car running I found no power before I took off the carb..... One of them has got to be the power for the ac compressor gotta be. I did a continuity test and got 1 so Im thinking a break some place? Is their a AC relay somewhere I cant find it. Nothing on my fuse box says anything like AC fuse or relay. I don't get it I'm doing something wrong why cant I find power from one of them wires? Before I took the compressor out it did work I got the clutch to spin going direct form the battery just to see if it worked....Im sending it off to Florida tomorrow to be rebuilt...lol yea Florida. MAN I hope its not somewhere in my wiring harness...…………. Any ideas? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
The wire comes off that switch you pull out and it goes out to the switch on the accumulator dryer from that switch one wire usually the black with red stripe goes out to the compressor. I hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
720 King Cab Killer
Well Thank you but The AC is on hold for awhile I GOT RIPPED OFF my compressor is gone gone. I found a place called Jensen Auto in Michigan they said ship it out they will rebuild it ( cost 50 bucks) and ship it back. Well they said they never got it. TOTAL BS Fed Ex dropped it off there at 11:49am Sep 12. SO I got ripped off...Fuck them guys! AND I'm not the only one there are some shitty reviews about them fuck heads. SO I just ordered a new weber carb/adapter plate and gonna go with that. My question now is what kind of compressor do you all think will fit my motor? The only thing I saw the even looks like it will fit is a 1981 Kamastu excavator ac compressor it looks very very close same compressor just about.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
What year truck is it ? Did you take the mounting bracket off before shipping it out to the ripoff artists? Quote Link to comment
720_Jeff
There are plenty on eBay. Looks like they start @ $145 for a reman 1 Quote Link to comment
thisismatt
As the diagram shows, the compressor won't see power if the low-pressure switch is engaged, which it would be if your refrigerant was low or non-existent. 1 Quote Link to comment

Charlie69
That is the carb kit listed for the 81-82 Z22 engine. That is correct. The z22 has a different adapter than the z20 or the Z24 engines. If you want PM me and I can come to your place on Sunday and help you install your Weber. Quote Link to comment
