Title/vin check. Plus introduction.

Hey all, my name is dan. Long time browser, rookie member. Ive owned 3 zs a roadster, a 510, a 620, a 720, and a 200sx, so datsuns arent new to me. Im about to turn 40 in may, and call the CA bay home. Im in the market to buy a 69 dime next weekend. Test drove it today, and though it'll be a project, i believe it has potential. I plan to post pics of the car, and start a build thread, but i want to have the vehicle in my name first. With that being said, does anyone have a good idea of how i could go about checking the vin to see if it is not a stolen vehicle, or to see if it has no back reg fees, aside from walking into dmv. My schedule wont allow me to have that kind of time, plus the car is a state away. Im being vague for a reason. Owner says its all legit, and showed me in person the title. It does appear to be clean, but i am a very cautious person. Any and all help appreciated.

I used these guys had no problems give them a call they pulled a report and will get you in the correct direction and may even be able to get a reduction on fees owed.
