Kingcab
I know you can get lowering blocks and even lowering leaf springs but I need more clearance from the bottom shock mount to the ground.. is there lowering leaf shackles for a 720?? Or maybe another way for lowering the rear?? 1 Quote Link to comment
Charlie69
I used the 710 leaf spring plates in the picture on my 1980 720 chassis that we put under my 66 520. Depending on how low you go you will need to find the correct length shock. Quote Link to comment
captain720
4wd 720 leaf springs give a 3 inch rear drop and increased spring rate Quote Link to comment
Kingcab
I've seen online ppl drilling a hole on the front leafe mount is this safe? Quote Link to comment
wayno
I used 510 wagon shock mount/leaf plates, they work great, my 520 on a 86 720 chassis is lowered around 7 inches in the rear, it was a lot of work going that low and still having it safe if I got a flat. I did a lot of mods to get it low, but I cannot really haul much weight now because I also changed all the rear leaf mounts, I used 520 front mounts and Datsun Roadster rear shackle mounts(photo below), these rear mounts are really not meant to haul weight, they were made for a sports car.
