benderdude1 Posted August 10, 2018 Report Share Posted August 10, 2018 Hey Guys, and gals, I'm new here to this forum. I own a 1981 Datsun King Cab 4x4 that I've had since brand new. I'm starting to restore and upgrade the truck. I am looking for a factory sunroof and inside cover for it. I've looked quite a bit to no avail. Any ideas? datzenmike Posted August 12, 2018 Report Share Posted August 12, 2018 The sun roof was usually included in an option package on the 720 ST model. The Z head design pretty much precludes much increase in power from 'improvements' to the engine. A larger 32/36 Weber carb and a lower restriction turbo muffler is about it. High lift cams are limited by the two valve hitting each other and the head ports are restrictive and breathe poorly. The Z22 makes good power and torque below 4K. You could swap a later Z24 in it's place. All the above applies but the increased displacement makes 130 ft lbs torque at 2,800. It's a stump puller. 1 Quote Link to comment
