rosso
On my 1972 510 wagoon, I have the original sticker on the front crossmember under the hood and it is still legible - so I know 906 is correct code. I have seen some internet sites/posts that call this color Safari Brown, Gold, and even I think Orange. What is the official color name? Anyone know for sure? My title and registration says the car is Orange. Here's the car with original somewhat faded paint. :-( Thanks, Michael aka Rosso because my first 510 was red. 2 Quote Link to comment
Tedman
906 is Safari Brown. This is from the list of touch up paints in the 510 parts manual here: http://www.carpartsmanual.com/datsun/bluebird-1968-1973/miscellaneous/miscellaneous 1 Quote Link to comment
rosso
Thanks Tedman! - I had browsed the FutoFab site (which is great) but had not found the paints. I sure appreciate the link, too bad they don't sell it, I will need to find a source. Know anyone that sells rattle cans of custom color paint ? Or any kind of container. Cheers, Michael 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
A paint supplier can put it in a spray can for you. I've done it a bunch of times. Eventually I just has them mix up a 2k paint and bought a gun and did it that way. 1 Quote Link to comment
