JersyThor74
Hi all new here so my apologies if this is a silly question. I have a 1974 260z that the previous owner ground a motor mount off of. Instead of attempting to replace the mount I was going to install a new crossmember. I have an offer from someone to sell me their 240 or 280z crossmember but I'm not sure which would be compatible. Open to any imput or suggestions. Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Generally they are all the same engines but my parts call up shows the 240z X member part number radically different from the 260z. The 260z shares the same X member to at least half way through the '77 model year so it would work with a 280z I guess. To be safe stick to '74 through December '76 build dates. 1 Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
what mike said 74 through 78 is the same the 240 one will probably work but it is lighter weight due to factory holes the steering rack might have slightly different mount points also on the 240 1 1 Quote Link to comment
