Seems like a contradiction of laws, it's illegal to ass on the right, but legal to pass in the middle? Not say'n I didn't take advantage of it, just say'n it makes no sense. Splitting lanes can be done at a safe relative speed without putting lives in danger. It's the F'tards that split lanes at normal freeway speed that are organ donors waiting to happen. I've seen that shit go wrong twice, so now it just pisses me off, cuz I don't want to see it again.

Here in AUS, the laws on lane splitting/filtering do have conditions to it.

 

Cannot be doing more than 30 km/h and the traffic has to be stopped or moving very slowly.

 

New riders cannot do it either,only "open" not "restricted" license riders can do it. 

 

And in various states it's not legal in certain speed zones.

That makes sense, but over here the government has been on a herd thinning campaign for decades, so you get laws that promote stupid.
