Draker
Im planning on doing a bit more interior work since I’m back here. Right now it’s a bit rough. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
taking a shot at making some new wheel well covers. Not sure what I’m doing but here we go. picked up this industrial walking foot machine last fall. Put a new servo motor and slowed it way down with a small drive pulley. got one side done, not sure what you call this type of stitch, but I matched the factory style. test fit, seems acceptable. Bye bye tan. Edited March 25, 2021 by Draker 5 Quote Link to comment

Well done sir. 👌 1 Quote Link to comment

Draker
A little more progress. Got the well covers glued in and a bit more trim here and there. Next up rear window area. 2 Quote Link to comment
Draker
time to address the c pillars and rear parcel shelf area. looks like seatbelt mounts in the c pillars? Sweet! went with a perforated headliner material. gluing in top anchor now that the c pillars are going to look better, I should do something about these nasty latches. They have some heavy pitting so they won’t be perfect. better! looking much better! Edited April 4, 2021 by Draker 2 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Next up, carpet for the rear window, refurbishing the back panels. After that probably redo the rear seat. 1 Quote Link to comment

I’m just thinking of how much masking I’d have to do. Hmmm.. we’ll see what I have left after doing the rear panels. the headliner is in good shape, just 50 years of grime. Why must you add to the list... lol 2 Quote Link to comment

Draker
Made the carpet for the rear window. It’ll be glued to padding and over the wood that’s up there. The plan it to put some speakers back there as well.. so it’ll get cut up at some point. 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Sewing that carpet binding on was pretty tricky. Not bad for my first go, but mistakes were made. Shit happens, on to the next thing. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Plan is to take off the vinyl under the window and redo it. Foam for soft from glue and well it looks like the ocean with all those waves 🌊 Got more material.. and a pretty good pattern. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Got to work cleaning and prepping the door panels as well. Looks like I just smeared the dirt around more than cleaned it. 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Next comes vinyl prep/softener and paint. Same process as I did on the front door panels. Using landau black vinyl paint and chrome pen for the panel detail. 1 Quote Link to comment
