Fuses & Fusible link???

Hello everyone.

I have a problem with the instrument panel light. So, I took a Circuit Tester and checked continuity.

I saw that a fuse did not indicate continuity. And, the light lit only in one pole and not in the other.

I cleaned the terminals with a sheet of sand and it did not work.

I removed the fuse but left the switch open and saw that the front lamps were on & the instrument panel. Before they did not light.

 

It took me by surprise, it's not supposed to be fuses for that. Unless there is another problem.

 

What do you say?

You probably have the wrong fuse. Loosen one end of each fuse till the lights go out... that's the fuse.

But, I put that fuse and the lights go out. I take it off and turn it on.

It seems that the problem is caused by a poor quality fuse.

But the terminal is also overheating.

The 20A (upper right) should power the instrument, parking/tail, side marker, license lights.

 

The 10A (upper left) is for the turn signals.

Yup. The Problem is the 20A. Replacement solves the problem?

Yes, yesterday I did tests and I realized that the terminal felt hot. And, it begins to melt the plastic of the fuse box.

I checked and it has a bit of corrosion.
