Montydude
I am new to this forum but I am working on a 521 that I just bought last fall. I am looking at buying a steering wheel on ebay from a 79-82 B310 and wondered if anyone knows if this would be compatible with a 521? Thanks! 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
I think you will find the spline and the nut holding it on are the same so it will attach. However will the horn button tab reach, will the turn signal cancel work and will the 521 clam shell fit and look right? I doubt it. I had a 280zx wheel on my 620 and it fit but... had to bend the horn tab down to make contact. Used longer roll pins to make the turn signal return after a turn and there was a 3/4" gap between the wheel and the steering column clam shell. The zx wheel was also smaller diameter than the 620 original, making the turning a little more work and in a truck this was noticeable. However it looked great! There were 3 horn buttons one on each spoke for your thumbs and one in the middle for when turning a corner and you can't quickly find the others. It's also has a larger grip diameter and well padded. The 620 wheel is like driving around holding on to a coat hanger. 1 Quote Link to comment

Montydude
Thanks much! I thought there would be issues beyond just bolting it up. The research goes on! Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
