How and why do you think it's bad?..  Pull the wire plug off yours and turn the ignition switch to on and check to see if there is power.  If you cannot operate a test light, go back to school.

doctor510: i have 2 degrees in automotive field and 30 +years experience of working on cars, its just a question and it was suggested to me to check the ignition switch by another datsun member

I guess you could provide 12 volts from the battery with a jumper wire. Drive it and if the problem persists... then the ignition isn't the cause.

 

If it does fix the problem then the 12v supply is intermittent. Could be anything or loose connection to or from the ignition or even the ignition switch..

So check it, at least ONE of your degrees should have told you how to do it!
