joshmoney
Hey, can I swap out my dual point distributor and put in a single point distributor? I have a 71 521 with dual points Quote Link to comment
datsunfish
Yes you can. Any single point dist from a L series motor will work but if is advisable to get the pedestal and mounting plate that comes with the new distributor if it is not the same body type as the dual. It is also a better idea to get an electronic distributor. If you want it single you can disconnect the second set of points and just run one but you may have to bypass the tranny and throttle switches and rewire or delete the ignition relay.
