Sherro56
Good Morning, I am in the process of converting my L18 to dry sump, I can buy all the parts required locally (Australia). The parts I can't source are the front cover oil pump mount and support pump/distrutor drive spindle as described on page 100 of Mr Frank Honsowetz book "How to Modify Yout Datsun". Any help would be appreciated Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Probably not something you can buy. When you get that deep into building a race engine, you need to be able to machine & fabricate your own parts. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Dry sump is... extreme. Wouldn't a baffled oil pan be enough for it??? Quote Link to comment
Ratwagon1600
Try Baz at Datsport. 08 8186 2100 or www.datsport.com I'll have a look at my book when I get home from work. These parts may have been a OEM type part which these days equals rare as unicorn shit. Alternatively they may be a "modify from standard factory part" requirement. Baz is the go to guy generally for these types of questions. And quick edit, dependent on the size of your chequebook, Les COLLINS is definitely your go to guy. www.lescollinsracing.com He builds some outstanding engines and is located in Victoria. The work he does is pure engine porn, but with the resulting price. Good luck with your search. 1 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Baz is down and out for about two more weeks so I was told. Quote Link to comment
