L18 Dry sump conversion

Good Morning,

I am in the process of converting my L18 to dry sump, I can buy all the parts required locally (Australia). The parts I can't source are the front cover oil pump mount and support pump/distrutor drive spindle as described on page 100 of Mr Frank Honsowetz book "How to Modify Yout Datsun". Any help would be appreciated

Probably not something you can buy.

When you get that deep into building a race engine, you need to be able to machine & fabricate your own parts.

Dry sump is... extreme. Wouldn't a baffled oil pan be enough for it???

These parts may have been a OEM type part which these days equals rare as unicorn shit.

 

Alternatively they may be a "modify from standard factory part" requirement.
