ArchetypeDatsun
Saw this on Carbon Signal's Instagram and there suppose to have the hako (Hakosuka) front end available by end of July. What do you 510 guys think? I'm no 510 owner but in some ways I like it. 3 Quote Link to comment
willz
I like it, I'd like it more if they stuffed a robello L28 in there with triple webers 1 Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Not drastically different than a 510, but it looks good. 2 Quote Link to comment
KoHeartsGPA
Ya, looks mighty fine on a goon!, Don't know if a sedan could pull it off, doubtful. 1 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
As if the hako fanboys didn't already think the 510 "looks like a skyline" 4 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
As long as they avoid the stupid Bro vents and scoops like on the 09 racing utes then the kit looks decent. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mister Vengeance
To me.. and its just my opinion.. I think its pointless.. Im not saying I dont like it.. I just think that the 510 frontend looks like a hako anyway. Moreover the 510 front is perfect anyway.. I think it has a cleaner look than the Hako. that is all. 2 Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
Might be an easier sell if they just repopped a Bluebird SSS front end instead. 3 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Hmm.. I don't hate it. But I'm a suckered for a nice stock grill. Sss or 68. Mmmm. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mister Vengeance
nah for real.. Anything that you HAVE to not run its front bumper AND flares to look good is a nono to me. If anything it looks the same!.. all that just to give the 510 a scowl? Again.. I dont hate it.. do yo thang shawty.. If its your car and you want to pay $5000 for the front to look like a Hako then go for it. I will say this.. I have seen a Hako WAGON before in real life while I was in Japan.. and I gotta say.. a 510 Wagon LOOKS WAY BETTER stock. 3 Quote Link to comment
r0p0doe
Looks cool, but not for my car... Quote Link to comment
racerx
Keep it stock, that's just me though. People add shit on their rides then starts to look like a rice rocket. The beauty about our 510 is the simplicity. KISS. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Almost looks like a boser hood for the 510. While i wouldn't ever do it, New products means continued interest in the vehicles which means more new products. I like that idea. Quote Link to comment
carterb
Might be an easier sell if they just repopped a Bluebird SSS front end instead. I see this a lot. There isn't "a" Bluebird SSS grill. Nissan changed the grill and tail lights basically every year of production. I assume by "repop" you are talking about the plastic grill. The grill is the same for all 1971-1972 (46-47 in Japan) production year (1972 model) bluebirds. SSS had an SSS badge. GL had a big ol GL badge. DX cars had the central rocket ship badge or whatever that is. But the grill is the same. 1 Quote Link to comment
Fat510
They should stop putting hako front ends on everything. It's to the point where every 1200 ute has that front end on it 3 Quote Link to comment

But those are the best looking, to me, fro t and rear to the 510 2/4drs. 1 Quote Link to comment
shacks510
... but if someone put a 510 front end on a hako everyone would lose their fucking minds. 3 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
What's the point? Most drivers on the road don't know the difference anyway so can't appreciate it. How would a '69 RS Camaro go over with a '68 Firebird front end on it? Quote Link to comment
racerx
Cuz it's shiny and cool factor. I have one and they don't have one. 1 Quote Link to comment

KoHeartsGPA
What matters is that the owner likes it, everyone else is irrelevant. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
What matters is that the owner likes it and doesn't care what others think about it or him. If you think about it, it demeans both cars. If you love your 510 why would you do this to it. If you like the Hako why put the front end on a mere 510. Does doing this make it better??? 2 Quote Link to comment
