Trick to getting return lower spring back on?

Recommended Posts

I cannot get this mfer back on to save my life.  The spring has no give whatsoever, there has got to be an easier way to do this then using wire cutters and trying to pull it over and into the hole.

long something like screwdriver or allen key hooked by the spring hook, and that can fit in the spring hole. apply leverage on the screwdriver/long-allen-wkey until the spring hook slides along the screwdriver down towards the spring hole which hopefully lands said hook somewhat in the hole, miss, curse, repeat.

or what hainz said...put the whole thing together than wrestle them into place. On my 521 the top spring is a pain in the ass if you do this, since for my truck anyway the spring is just a bit thicker than the gap between hub and wheel cylinder.
