DIY 1985
What's missing? Before I attack rusted wheel well screws that may be better left alone? I can't remove the coolant reservoir from whatever is holding it on the bottom, but I can't see under it to figure out what is necessary for removal either. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
If you haven't removed the mounting screws how do you know it's being held on the bottom? It may clip into place and then be screwed. Looks like only two screws. See if you can get vice grips on the end sticking out on the tire side.Get them lose then use a nut driver on the inside. 7twentyguy
Once you get the screw out I believe the whole thing slides up not out. 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
My diagram shows a clip (probably behind it on the inner fender) Probably supports it's weight and the screws just secure it. Quote Link to comment
DrvnDrvr
This is the bracket under the reservoir, remove screws at top then move it towards engine and it should come loose. 2 Quote Link to comment
DIY 1985
I ultimately didn't need to remove the bracket to get it out, just used a mirror, daylight, and determination. There was a plastic receiver for a fender air dam screw that was a bit tight with the clip, that and it had less than adequate clearance from the brake mastercylinder hardlines--at least for the OE reservoir being removed. Thanks again. Quote Link to comment
