I run a forum, know what its like to search for something then not find the answer. I asked a specific question today, and I get the you didnt search bs. Cracks me up that people always claim this. ANyone who has searched their site knows 10 tons of bs pop up and nothing relevant to what you are looking for. Best part is, they then lock your post and move it. Search, someone go find information about a 6-2 header even better, one with katman on their site. Nothing relevant, although I did find my own post :)

I try not to ever say that. Well I did once but I highlighted the link to the post. Even the FAQ can sometimes be a bit top heavy with non info. I hate typing in 6 words and it says 'can't search, needs a minimum of 3 words'.:D Searches sometimes often as not, turns up a 5 page thread that never does answer the title question, contradicts another post or is accidentally misleading. In all fairness, they sometimes give you what you need. Searches can give you enough info so you can ask an intelligent, relevant question.

They give you the same crap over on zcar.com. I use the search frequently, and rarely turn up the answers I need. So I then post a question, and the first post usually returned is, "use the search". Search functions rarely work as well as people think it should.

The search feature here use to be very good. Don't know what's up with it. Any more I do as Mike said, I take a once-over on the FAQ to see if it's there then I try a couple searches. If still nothing, to hell with it, I just ask and deal with the flack........Not that I don't deserve it sometimes.:D

i get that on the vortex all to often. tahts why i like the smaller, less known forums that have great tech sections like HERE, mk1dubs, mk1love, and vwcaddy :)

yup i get the same treatment over at hybridz, then you bump it a few times someone is bound to answer. i post up simmilar threads ive searched just to show them ive actually done the work, or if a senoir member asks a question, i tell them to search just cause they always tell me.

I just bought my first Z-car. Its a 1970's or 80's something Z. How can I make it super fast without spending too much? My friends at school all have 1990's Hondas and they're so fast! :)
