KamakSun
Happy New Years Ratsun Friends, I installed the dual weber 45dcoe (sans the linkages) and the 510 runs at idle. When I cover the either one of the rear (cylinder 3 & 4) carb inlets the car bogs down as it should but when I cover either of the two front, the "suck" is not as strong and it doesn't bog down. I just adjusted the valves but will revisit if that is the issue. Any ideas, what tests can I perform or what the issue may be? Thanks as always, KamakSun Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Carbs need to be synchronized. Maybe the back two are doing all the work, front two are closed. 1 Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Yep, carb synch is most likely the cause. Quote Link to comment
scooter
X3, also if you have a cannon intake the center two runners have a tube running in between them to further add to your head scratching Quote Link to comment
KamakSun
Yup it the sync Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Search this forum for "centerpull linkage". It's a vastly improved style of connecting and actuating the carbs. Those rod style linkages are troublesome indeed. Quote Link to comment
