The "Baja 1000" is often mistaken for the Mexican 1000 rally. According to the Speed Hunters article Peter Brock entered this car in the 69 Baja 1000 and came in 4th. That's virtually impossible, because the Baja 1000 did't exist until 73. No disrespect to the writer, but if he's making these kind of basic historical mistakes I have a hard time trusting anything he says.

 

Something of note. The BRE rally cars were Bluebird SSS 510s built by Nissan Works. For this particular car I seriously doubt you'll find any specific build specs. You can make some assumptions though based on what Nissan Works was doing in the early 70s. SSS running gear, dual side drafts, East African Safari rally suspension (actually in the Datsun parts catalog), etc.
