Shaker
Started putting in the Wiring Specialties Harness https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F33_M_GgENSWtDNmljRk5FTjg/view, Still have to do the underneath bits. So I bought one of those Slick Can Am boxes and my Harness was ordered with flying leads https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9F33_M_GgENR0FuMGpBUXk0bFE/view, Now here is where Wiring goes over my head. I understand I run power to the Can Am Box and Ground it, Then from there do I just put wires from the Flying Leads and Wherever else to the Can Am FP, ECCS and Run Slots? I feel like I should be Splicing somewhere too. Just FYI I`m keeping the Chassis Harness for Signals, Lights, Heater, Etc. Just confused and could use some input here. Also I installed my B&M Shifter. 1 Quote Link to comment
Shaker
First start up of the SR finally happened. Sounded pretty good to me. Was a little worried because when we replaced the the Water Pump the old one had no fins left. See the Video here :) 3 Quote Link to comment

Lockleaf
2wd Toyota for front suspension and matching rear axle. Tons of aftermarket, high availability. And what do you need the gauges to do that they don't? Look better or is there some function they don't have and you need? 1 Quote Link to comment
Shaker
The gauges I just want new modern aftermarket ones as well a GPS Speedo. There's no reason other than I want to. The Boost, RPM and UEGO gauges need to bemounted somewhere to. What model Toyota and Year? I was thinking something like a custom Mustang II front end. I want Coilovers and Bigger brakes. Something that will be able to handle high speed corners. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Pick a Toyota truck 80s or 90s. Fairly similar across those years. Do a little research on what guys are accomplishing with those trucks, see if it matches your goals. Many Toyotas have 4 pot brakes and I'm sure there are bigger brake options. 4WD 720s had center consoles with 2 gauges in them. Replace factory clock with one gauge, put your others in the center console? 1 Quote Link to comment

Shaker
I started to put some things back together. I`ve ran into an issue that I must be missing something under the grille. I see the bottom of it has clips that look like they would go into something. I was thinking the front bumper maybe is what it attaches to? I misplaced the bumper and wiper cowl as well some other parts i`m sure. Anyone see what i`m missing? 1 Quote Link to comment
captain720
Nah man, you just zip tie the two on the top on cross your fingers! Side note, they did actually come from factory with zip ties/bailing wire right? 3 Quote Link to comment
Shaker
Well since I lost the bumper and I have to install my intercooler and oil cooler still I'll just get the shop to Fab something up for me. 1 Quote Link to comment
Shaker
So I am getting ready to buy some sort of fuel containment for the truck. I am looking at Summits SUM-290108 Fuel Cell. www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-290108 I was wondering if anyone else has relocated the stock fuel tank as I do not have a tank, lines or anything related to fuel on the truck, So I wanted to know if there are any other options available or just your thoughts. 1 Quote Link to comment
tdc
for your grill situation, you have the wrong lower valance for an 81, it should go up and meet the bottom of the grill. i don't have a picture of my 81 without the front bumper, but you can see here what i mean 2 Quote Link to comment
Shaker
Okay thanks I`ll try to find a replacement. Or I`ll just leave it and mount the intercooler under the grill and use some flat steel under the grill. I like the additional lip this wrong one has haha. 1 Quote Link to comment
tdc
yeah i wouldn't even bother replacing it, especially since you'll be running an intercooler up there haha 1 Quote Link to comment
Holyshit_Austin
Did you have to modify anything for the engine mount or did the isr performance adjustable mounts set right it? And also for the trans mount any modifications done? 1 Quote Link to comment

And also for the trans mount any modifications done? The mounts need to be cut, So lower your engine in with the ISR mounts at stock height and adjust accordingly until the engine is sitting proper. We used the original cross member but a random rubber trans mount from the junk pile and cut it to fit. The battery tray should be removed to leave room for the throttle body (Relocate battery to the rear) Alternator sits very close to frame. Torsion bars interfere with exhaust. I am saving up to change the suspension to coilover set up. Ratsun forum member BEEBANI makes the kits. He lists them on ebay https://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-And-Improved-Full-Coilover-Kit-For-Datsun-nissan-Pickups/192662828694?fits=Model%3A720&hash=item2cdb997696:g:KREAAOSw63FaAd8p&vxp=mtr Feel free to ask anymore questions.
