Crashtd420
Finished the bed and associated parts today.... The weekend could have gone better but I got things done in the end.. The top coat was a bit clumpy in the can... luckily after alot of stirring and some filtering I was able to get 2- 14 ounce cups of color ... just enough for 2 coats.. Thankfully the spray outs went good. One run in the first coat, but I was able to fix and it went away with the second coat.. I did manage to trip over my flood light right as I started to spray the second coat.... got it repair to atleast get things done and managed to trip over it again but luckily I had light on the last side I had to do. 3 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I also used the flat black on the stacks, I might get some glossy black stickers for the side so since a had a little extra paint I just top coated them as well.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
I actually use my air conditioners to filter the air....I just tape some blue filter material over them while i paint.. also keeps the humidity and temperature nice.... Pretty nasty.... Quote Link to comment

Crashtd420
Time to catch up my updates... I got a lot done in the last week but couldn't post due to site issues... Any how since the bed was painted i had to add all the little things back on. Light, gas door, tailgate latches, and the box in the bed.... 3 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
With the bed ready to mount I turned my attention to some smal projects... Next up was swapping the flasher relays for adjustable ones..... Went from this... (turn signals) Couldnt find the 4 way flasher, found it tucked up in the dash wiring for some reason.... this one was old, it passed inspection 2 months ago and actually stopped working as I was trying to find it... New adjustable one worked really good, I had to speed up the turn signals and slow down the flashers.. 1 Quote Link to comment
Crashtd420
Next up was to swap the springs on the rear coilovers. In the picture you can also see some rubber strips I cut to put between the frame and the bed ... 1 Quote Link to comment

Crashtd420
Next up waiting for my friend to come by so we could put the bed back on I decided to get the lighting done in the heat shields... I made a small harness to connect the trailer box I'm using to control the lights to each stack.... And each stack has it's own plug and harness... 2 Quote Link to comment

Crashtd420
Brake light work with the turn signals like a trailer... Blinking doesnt work to good for a picture but this is with the brake pedal pressed... Should make turning and braking more visible from behind... Crashtd420
Nope I dont want mine looking like yours and everyone else's.... I prefer to be different by making things not just buying and doing it like everyone else.... it's called creativity..... And since your the only one who doesnt like it it's not going anywhere.. Crashtd420
My new radiator cap showed up today.... Also picked up a proper coolant overflow bottle .... I haven't put the bottle in yet but I was very happy the Chinese radiator cap I found was infact the correct one.... I might go order a couple spare when I can.... I replaced the cap after work and took it for a nice hour long drive and it was a hot afternoon.... Needless to say everything worked like it should.... 1 Quote Link to comment
