flatcat19
Hosestop will make you whatever you want. Flexible stainless lines. Ya know, braided steel. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
He is wanting to verify what NPT thread it is from factory so he can match it. So he can connect back up to the pressure safety valve body on the firewall I believe. 1/8-27 or 1/4-18 NPT. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
What brake line ever is 1/8" or 1/4"? Sounds like custom application? You could take parts you're trying to match down to the parts store and match up the fittings. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
NPT is not the same size as common 1/8" or 1/4" 1/8-27 NPT takes an 11/32 (.3438") tap drill hole. So that isnt a typical 1/8" Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
He's somewhere in Europe I believe. I don't know that npt is too common where he is. Luis, can you post pictures of the parts you are trying to connect? Quote Link to comment
Duncan
Definitely not National Pipe Thread. I'm out of town and can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure they are M10x1.0 for most Datsuns. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Definitely not National Pipe Thread. About 99% sure they are 10mm fine thread. I'm out of town and can't check right now, but I would guess they are 1.25 or 1.50 thread pitch. Exactly why he was asking. Thank you. this helps a ton. Usually hydraulic lines use a wedge shape fitting like NPT. Japanese is 10mm x 1 IT 1 Quote Link to comment
Duncan
I just had a flex line made for the rear axle on my wagon, so it's still pretty fresh in my mind :) You quoted my original post which I edited afterwards. You're quick on the quote :) 1 Quote Link to comment
Noflers
I can confirm the m10x1 threads. They are 30mm in length if I remember correctly... 1 Quote Link to comment
LUIS COLCHETE
i Want link the hard line to the GS brake master wilwood and it is inscript 3/8-24, there must EXISTS a adapter from 3/8 24 to m10*1? Please confirm me if is M10*1? Quote Link to comment
G-Duax
Yes, 10mm, but hard to tell the pitch from a picture, but 1mm is common. Spend $3 on a thread pitch gauge, and another $25 on a cheap dial caliper, and all your questions like this, and in the future will be answered. The adaptors on eBay-USA. http://www.ebay.com/itm/282137651495?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT But Wilwood would probably have them also. 1 Quote Link to comment
fivetengarage
I looked and could not find the right adapter you need. Here is my suggestion. I am assuming your fittings are inverted flare rather than bubble flare. option 1. 28 inch -3 AN line. approx 70 cm. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-63010128erl 3/8-24 inverted flare to -3 AN adapter for master cylinder side. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-581533erl 10mmx1.0 inverted flare to -3 AN adapter for distribution block. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/ear-592032erl option 2. Get a 3/16 inverted flare nut (3/8-24 thread) and double flare to your existing line. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-220137/overview/ option 3. 3/16 inverted flare female (3/8-24 thread) to 10x1.0 male inverted flare adapter. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edd-270300 use with 30 inch 3/16 brake line. https://www.amazon.com/Tomkins-330ST-Edelmann-Brake-Line/dp/B0012ORBO6 with this setup the existing nut on the new line will fit the wilwood master and the adapter will go into your distribution block. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment
