HOGIE
Welcome boogerfinger! Or should we call you boogereater? Dude what's with your top radiator hose? Did you get that rad out of a 720? Quote Link to comment
boogerfinger
What head casting is this, U67? Yes it is a U67 head, needs a good clean up. Quote Link to comment
boogerfinger
Welcome boogerfinger! Or should we call you boogereater? Dude what's with your top radiator hose? Did you get that rad out of a 720? The Rad is out of a VW. It was installed by the PO I'm not happy with it and I'm going back to a stock version. I have no clue what the top hose if from. HOGIE
We should swap. I'm installing a KA and will need that rad. You need an Lseries radiator Quote Link to comment
boogerfinger
This VW rad is junk way to thin to be useful for your KA swap. I would be getting one hell of a deal on a swap Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
That VW radiator is more than capable. Quote Link to comment
mrbigtanker
Welcome aboard boogereater. Ditch the VW radiator, had one in my truck with a Kay swap and it was very subpar. Quote Link to comment
boogerfinger
This is the rad that is in the car I think it needs an upgrade.any thoughts? Quote Link to comment
Draker
Looks like a good radiator. Quote Link to comment
boogerfinger
It's from jegs according to the PO, I haven't had any overheating issues. It just looks out of place, was going to make it a cleaner install when the l20b goes in, or go for a stock rad. Quote Link to comment
Draker
Look for a Koyo. About $250 shipped and bolts right in. Quote Link to comment
racerx
If it works, why change it. Save your money. Quote Link to comment
petercscherer
That's a VW Scirocco style radiator, intlet/outlet on the same side. Been used for a lot of different swaps; as long as the engine isn't much bigger than 2.4L, it works just fine. Quote Link to comment
