Best L18 electronic distributer?

Hi guys i'm about to start working on my L18 and want to change my points into a electronic distributer? any suggestions? i have found this one wanted to know if anyone else is running this one thanks

Find a Datsun matchbox distributor, much better quality. That looks Chinese made.

 

All '79 and 80 L20Bs had them

'79 620  truck

'80 720 truck

'79 S10 (200sx)

'79 A10 (HL510)

 

Another that will work is the '79 and '80 A10 (HL510) with Z20S and the '80 S110 (200sx) with Z20E engine. In both cases it must have a 4 spark plug head. All California models had 8 spark plugs and won't be the same.

 

All '78 L20Bs had a similar EI distributor called a remote igniter that can be easily converted to use a General Motors HEI module.

Use the list posted by Mike above and buy one from RockAuto.

 

Also need cap, rotor, wires, plugs, and a coil from the same vehicle.

 

 

Then look up how to eliminate the ballast.
