dat620
chevy orange is way differant, our dupont store out here will mix up a qrt of paint and put it in spray cans, they charge about 20.00 but i usually get 2 cans, it is the centari enamal, but works great and they color match pretty good, so if u have a dupont store close by ck them out.:D Quote Link to comment
thegreencar
What about Mopar Orange? Quote Link to comment
City Hunter
think that is close? Right now I just want something orange, it's better than white. I just need to cover some areas I stripped down to metal. until the car gets ready for paint, which wont be for a while. Quote Link to comment
thegreencar
Well, with all photography, there is a color shift compared to real life. You also you need to pay attention to how polished the paint is because then it will reflect the colors around it. After googling photos of "datsun orange," "mopar Orange," and "Chevy Orange." It looks like datsun orange is a bit paler. Factory Datsun 918 Orange Mopar Orange Chevy orange Quote Link to comment
bonvo
you also have to take into account lighting with the pics presented i would say chevy orange but the lighting is different fromt he other pics so it could be a tric of the light Quote Link to comment

For any accurate comparison that would be even remotely close to meaningful, both samples must be viewed under the same light conditions. The industry standard is a 5000 degree Kelvin light source which is the equivalent of noon day sunlight. Quote Link to comment
