Mazda 626 Wiper Motor

Problem is, wiper motor didn't come with linkage arm. What's stopping me from drilling out the hole in the Datsun arm so that it fits over the Mazda shaft?
The Mazda shaft is tapered slightly so it wouldn't be hard to press it on there
Will that work?

Perfect, I'll get back on it tomorrow. Did you plug the motor in to the car before you cut the shaft, or is the motor already at it's home position before plugging it in?

I plugged it in to make sure it was at its home position

I've got the arm mounted to the stud now. I just need a nut that fits the Mazda shaft.

Random matching nut to the rescue! Now I just need the piece that links the squeegee to the arm pivot.
