For future reference (hoping the search engine can find this), here are the widths of every Datsun axle I have at the shop. All measurements are wheel mounting face to wheel mounting face, the only number that matters.    B)

1200  51.50"

B210  51.75"

B310 (210)  53.25"

510 Wagon 53.5"

S110 200SX  55.25"

710 55"

2000 Roadster  47.5"

Edited first post so you don't have to dig for the info. You're welcome.   ^_^

I measured the rear axle I pulled out of a 1981 A10 wagon. My best tape measure guestimate came up with 54.75”.

I measured the width of the early and late 620 rear ends.

The early (up to 77?) rear end measures about 53 1/2" drum to drum

And the later 78/79 rear end measures approximately 54 1/2"

Closest thing I found

1979 Datsun 210 51.4" rear track width.

The problem with charts that list "track width" (not saying that's where you got the number) is that those numbers are often measured tire center to tire center, not hub to hub. And that number is effected by wheel offsets, etc.

Guess I'm going to have to get dirty and sweaty now...

Shit I already copied that info down. Now you are going to have to do this.

:fu:

Watch this space tomorrow. I will post, definitively, for the record, the width of a 1200 axle, a B210 axle, and a B310 axle.

If I'm really bored, I'll measure an S110 200SX axle and a 510 wagon axle for good measure. That'll cover just about every solid axle car they made, save the 710. I'll leave that to you, Mike.   ^_^

I think you'll find the S110 (H-165) and the 710 the same. Well, I took an S110 disc brake axle out and put it in a 710 housing... it fit.

Then I'd say the 710 must be in the ballpark of 55" even.

Was the S110 H-165 '80-'81) or H-190 ('82-'83)

H165, bur I know from firsthand experience they are the same width overall.

What year B-210? To Aug '74 the H-145 was used. After it was an H-150. Likely they were close

It was the later H150 axle. The early H145 is the same width as a 1200 axle. I suspect it actually is the same axle.

I can't find that info on the 1200 but H-145 sounds about right.

A10 wagon (sedan should be the same) is 1,330m or 52.4"

*according to Club 1200 although their math adds up to 1,190cm which is 11.9 meters or almost 40 feet. They probably mean 1190mm which is almost 47" and that, can't be right

It is.   ^_^

If you mean datsun1200.com, I wouldn't trust their reference numbers. Most of it is just stolen from other websites and rarely credited. They've stolen several articles I wrote without crediting me. And I've found dozens of measurements/specs on their site that are way off. Use at your own risk.

And if they are using the "track width" measurement, who even knows what that could mean.   :P
