I hope there is at least one stick she can drive. If you know what I mean.

Hahaha. Oh tanker.

That escalated quickly.

You got a short term/long term list of things to do?

Short term list is just getting it to stop good. Doing the gas tank filler hose mod. And slapping a weber downdraft.

Wise to double check. Make sure ur datsun is operating temp., open throttle wide open, use screw in type compression tester not plug in type, more accurate. Having a good compression engine is a good starting point before buying parts.

Also, what do people do for a replacement AT shifter? Cause this one has seen better days.

So glad it went to a good home!

yea thanks!

so the battery died yesterday. Which is fine cause it was only really to get the car here from WA. so we got a brand new one. now the car fires up no problem.

Also, the brakes still need some attention. the master is doing this weird thing where the front brakes reservoir gets lower and the rear brakes reservoir overflows. it will be fine to drive it to the dmv to get plates, but i think I'll just replace the master once we're all plated up.

dont buy the rebuilt Masters with no tubes. They always seem to leak.

Put a meter on the battery to make sure its chargin correctly with a load.

I would get a solid state Volt reg as a spare.

yes i know.

I have a spare Voltage reg. already.

Found this one less the rest so far. I think this came off the blue car.

Not in the best shape itself. Let me know if you want it, I'll send it to you.

Thanks man. I'm gonna hold off for now.

Also, I installed the aftermarket gas filer hose.

Time will tell how durable these are. It went on fairly straight forward. The only negative is the hole dimples don't match up to the retaining plate so u have to make new holes.

Swapped the carb for a brand new weber 32/36 today. Car runs like new!

And then I noticed a small leak from the top of the radiator.

I attempted to solder it but it didn't stick too well. Hopefully it will hold till we get a new radiator.

Car is ready for the road! It still needs work in other areas, but that's the datsun life we live. Lol.
