Robsorangedatsun
I have traced some of my melted wires to this box under hood right hand side on top of my fender well between the relay cover and washer bottle. I took the top cover off and found a counter?... what's this for? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's the EGR 'counter' It 'adds' up your mileage/hours or running time? and at 30K? turns the EGR light on on top of the dash. This is to remind you to service the EGR valve. This consists of removing and wire brushing any exhaust deposits off it. 2 Quote Link to comment
Robsorangedatsun
Thanks datzenmike!! As for my melted wires I am trying to get that all straightened out at the moment. Noticed a couple wires melted together. Cranks all day long but doesn't have spark. If I short these two wires(black with yellow tracer)(blue white tracer) 1 Quote Link to comment
Robsorangedatsun
If I touch the two wires together with my key in the on position I will get my fasten belts warning chime and then the truck will have spark again! If I do not hear the seatbelt with warning chime or a charge light indication I do not have any spark 1 Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Could be, I was guessing. Also not sure how to remove/reset the warning lamp. There is a procedure but probably easier to just remove the bulb. 1 Quote Link to comment
