z24 carb vacuum bcdd

I have a question , there is a hose going from the bcdd, but where is it connected on the other side ??

Hi Ari, welcome to Ratsun.

 

Can you post a picture of it and the nearby area around the carb? Our D21s are different emissions here. Ours have a BCDD but the vacuum connection is internal and there is no hose. There are some earlier ones with a hose and it goes to a solenoid that is electrically opened to release the vacuum signal that sets the BCDD. (at least this is how I believe it works).

 

Have a look around anywhere where that hose can reach for a fitting that it will fit. Give that a try and let me know how you make out.

the only thing that is related to to the vacuum system on my car is the vacuum advance ,(that hose is connected and fine), and the bcdd .

ps : I suspect that the vacuum hose from bcdd goes to the air cleaner box.

Yeah I'm a thousand miles from home and I can't remember my google account password so yeah, look for a fitting on the underside of the air filter housing.

Connect up your vacuum advance for better mileage and running.

 

The other vacuum line probably goes to the air filter.

 

 

The BCDD not working will not upset the running.
