My 1967 RL411 Station Wagon - Canby or Bust!

Recommended Posts

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. We sure did. :D

Madsters school had a Trunk or Treat the Thursday before Halloween, so I decided to dress up the wagon as an undead hearse. Was a huge hit.

In case you are thinking of giving up on any emblems ,,,,  i got a free very low mileage 94 dodge minivan that had a water leak.. I figured fix it,,  put studded snows on it,  and the boy could use it over at the university cuz if snow chains break it won't be no big thing to drive till safe to change. And as the Hanson brothers would say dents would make it look tougher.

Long story short,, i got the engine all the fricking way down to a long block,,, BUT it's going back together now so ,,,,,,,,, soon ,,,, very soon.

Or not ,, i don't know any more.

They fit real nice. :)

Time to address the mess in the headliner. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I did find a new mascot.

The rest of these pics are pretty much for reference.

Roof looks pretty good other than the one rusty spot from above the nest.

I could really use the long drivers side trim piece, it's the only piece that isn't salvageable. I would think it is the same piece in the sedans?

Got a measurement ? Is it the two middle pieces?

I could whip one off if anyone's coming down to Teds cruise i could send it up North with them.  most of my parts cars all have the trim around roof i think.

Yep, the middle pieces. They have some pin clips that you can't see that hold them on after you remove the screws. I will get a pic.

Not sure who's going on that run, I'd like to but I will either being doing the trim for our new floor or working on datsuns....or both.

So when we went to Vancoober car show we saw this on a 510.. The owner of the car said it works great..

The story was that Byron (510 realm guy) made this,  and actually is working on making more of these brackets .. Now i figure they would most likely,, definitely ,, probably not fit a 411... But and industrious guy,,  that knows a guy,,  that can cut a few brackets ,,, could probably see how a homemade version could be "cobbled" together over time..
