jesusno2
well i admit it i hate rusty bolts nuts etc etc especially when you see them on really nice cars. well i used to build japanese motorcycles and i used to swap out all the fasteners for SS socket caps and selling kits for them. thinking i'll start doing the same with these old datto's i have a pretty good connection with a place that sells to me dealer cost in certain quanitys. prices are pretty cheap for SS stuff. so far ive got the valve cover bolts, intake and exhaust bolts and nuts, oil pan bolts and the waterpump bolts working on the front cover now not sure if i got the right lengths yet. even mapped out all the screws that hold a wagon roof rack on tonight and their is alot of screws LOL. prices are around 6 bucks for a valve cover shipping included, about 8 for the oil pan the rest i'll have to figure out once their is maybe enough interest, maybe their cheaper else where i dunno but i thought it was reasonably priced if anyone wants to replace stuff with SS stuff let me know. i can get prices on stuff also. jesusno2
not right off hand i dont sorry i can get some later though. their just stainless steel allen head bolts and washers they look really nice and add that little touch of class. they really look bitchen on black vlalve covers and will never rust. i always hated those nast water pump bolts and frt cover bolts that are all different sizes and half were rusted and stripped out. I pretty much do the same on all my cars. But I've had some friends come over to help me work on the car and they get pissed, WHY CAN'T YOU JUST USE A BOLT. Well they don't look as cool. I found some metric acorn nuts at my supplier for the strut bolts on my wagon. They look great. Also did all the fender bolts w SS button heads. Quote Link to comment
hang_510
mmmmm SS :D the mechanics call the hardware section at work 'home depot' - grab a bag and get what ya need  defintely adds a nice touch, even in a stock engine bay  Quote Link to comment
