help with cam identification

hi,

hope someone can help me identify the cam on my u67 head. Is this a stock l20 cam?

I assume I'll also need to shim my cam towers if head shaved app .063 ( 1,6mm) ?

found that u67 should be 4.25 (107,95mm) untouched. measured mine and its 4.187 (106.35 mm).

Without measuring the lobes, looks pretty stock.

It's a stock cam for an L20B but it looks like it's been re-ground to me. Measure the thickest and thinnest cross section of the lobe.

It appears to be the stock L20 cam.. unless you see markings on the back of the cam (near the back of the engine)

Head shaved .060"  you will need 3-4 .015" tower shims.  As mentioned, look at the back end of the cam, if it has been reground, there should be some info there.  The pictures really told us nothing.

Jesus 0.060"!!!! That's about 9.3 compression unless the top was shaved also. You would have to cc the combustion chambers to be sure. Does the cam spin freely?

Last I looked, those shims were also available on Rock Auto.

Look like a regrind the back side is cut a lot.

 

You must have new retainers also and big lash pads

ok, firstly thanks for all replies!

 

- cam moves freely

- measured the cam: 1.165 (29.591 mm) & 1.488 (37.759 mm). Would that make .485 lift (12.31 mm)?

- it has "B" & 72 deg stamped on back. 272?

- rocker arms have various markings; "s12", "s16", "s80", "s-95","s84","75:" and 2x"5:.", What does that mean?

 

Will measure cc as soon as possible. Only head is shaved and it was bought like this. I have a stock, untouched l18 in my stock 910

I think the rocker ratio on L series is 1.48 so 0.178" lift but more than close enough.
