dude, i feel your pain. i had to put my dog down almost a year ago. he had a stomach issue and it was slim, even with surgery, that he would survive. we figured it was best for him. so like i said i understand. in a few months take teh kid and find a new freind. we did. hes more of a handful but such a love. i'm sorry about what happened but it will get better.

That's bad. I had to put my 15yr old dog down 3 weeks ago, A week after that we had to put the wife's cat down, That was the vets mistake, I still think I should go graffiti his building for that one. Then the same week on the way home I ran over a cat, I never saw him he must have run under my back tire, Shitty couple of weeks there I'll tell ya, But I hope you get over your loss soon. I fell or pain man.

You're not alone. I share your grief. Every Thanksgiving we toast all or pets and loved ones that are no longer with us and tell funny stories that help to keep their memory alive. In due time talk to your son about it and say... "Hey remember when... " It helps.

my son is fine he was in the shower i was letting my dog in the house from the kennel outside and he ran across the street which he never does so as he was coming back a kid hit him he was going slow but he was a small dog.. the kid actually stayed and drove me to the vet and was there while he was being looked at, he was even there when i had him put down very upstanding of him. He was crying as much as i was. but i was there and was the last thing he saw so that is somewhat conforting. thanks for all of your compassion guys thats why i love this board(family)

Sorry to hear about the dog dude, this thread makes me feel sad ... I hate losing a friend. I had to have my one of my 2 dogs put down a year ago, she had cancer so bad she couldn't walk any longer. Her buddy we still have though, he's now blind, has diabetes and a couple of tumours that can't be operated on, but, he's a tough bugger, he's still around and keeping us happy. Stupid dogs, they really become part of the family ....
