At Shasta I brought tools for the head gasket job and it turned out we needed em.

i had tools with me canby last year, i'll add in torque wrenches as well. and rtv. don't like rtv myself though

It's recommended for the corners of the head gasket to front cover.

Rebuild guide also recommends placing it around coolant passages of timing cover gasket.

playing with my golf, i found it in places that it didn't belong in. that's more my problem with it, people putting it on everything

It's a clear indicator that so.e hack has been messing with shit.

 

 

Through work, and most modern cars, RTV is the main sealant. It's everywhere.

It is only when you see too much spilling out between surfaces do you realize that you're following up repairs by a hack.

sensors in a coolant flange and between coolant flange and head. the guy was chasing a leak, took care of it long enough for me to drive the car for a year. need to replace a bunch of gaskets on that car and will eventually (maybe) get to it

We did mine in about 2hours last year.ill be bringing my cordless ratchet to speed things up.ill try to remember to bring my wedge for the timing chain this time too

Im sry guys the $150 dollor farm truck just wont make the trip it eats 4 quarts of oil every 100 miles and im broke soo mabey next year
