My trunk is full of rust! Lots of water gets trapped along the trunk seal so it's pretty damn rusty.

I was trying to get these 1/4 window trim pieces off the 68'. Not really sure how to take them off, so I started looking around which led me to these two screws on the top of the door.

I put some pb blaster to help take them off but I ended stripping the screws.

These 1/4 vents are pretty nice. I thought about putting them on the 72' but they don't screw in like the later 510's.

We rebuilt the trunk gutters on my sons 85 celica with POR15 and thin fiberglass mat ,, worked pretty well for places you can't or don't normally,, see .

Just wet mat out ,, lay in trench smooth out carefully with disposable brush ,, then when close to dry stick another piece (wetted out) on the back side,, you will be amazed at how well it works.

Holds up pretty good my buddy did the whole  front floor of a 60s econoline van that was wasted with rust holes and the floor was still sturdy at least 6-7 years later when he sold it.

,just make sure you tape off everything you don't want black,,, and it sticks to your skin like death on a goldfish.  Stuff smells like superglue so i treat it like it is.

Update!! Iv'e decided foos gold needs a bit more ooomph! That's right boys, I'll be terrorizing the streets even more.

Sooo, I've been searching Craigslist for an l20b but people want way too much money for them... I found an l20 block in P-town and picked it up. My l16 currently has a w58 head so I thought it would be a good idea to throw that on the l20 block I picked up. Time for some oicsters!!!

Don't have an engine stand yet so it's on a tire for now.

Lil bit of damage on the piston but it'll buff right out.

In the middle of the cylinder wall there is a long raise where the scratches are. I'm a bit worried that it might be something bad.

Can you click your finger nail in this groove?? Or is it an optical illusion?

If it is deep sharp groove you will want to use an expandable hone as a ball hone might not clean it up enough to not bang your rings in a pretty short period of time...

NOT a deal killer to have some of that groove still there when your done,,, ( if it is there of course) , but you definitely wanna soften it up a bit
