Dream510
What's up guys! My name is Cesar, I'm from Eugene Oregon. I'm 19 years old and a proud owner of a 1968 4dr 510 and a 1972 orange 4dr 510. I have always dreamed of owning a good running Datsun. In the month of June of this year a pretty cool guy that goes by the name of "Bananahamuck" sold me his 510. I have posted pics of the car on here before, but recently decided to start a build thread! I'm pretty new to Datsuns and Cars so bear with me! Here are some pics since you guys love them so much. Just recently got these! Got em from Futofab. I'm still waiting for a valance that's on backorder. Been polishing some of my parts up! Not sure what wheels these are but I like them! They're 13's and I only have a set of 3. I managed to set a score of some "mexican tail lights" or 1971 sss tail lights. Here's a pic of the '68 4 Quote Link to comment
Draker
Hey, cool to see another local. I haven't seen your car around. Looks like you scored some sweet parts for it too! Looking forward to updates and where you take it. The second car you posted doesn't appear to be a 68? More pictures of that one? Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
this looks like a 69 do you have some tail light pics and some dash pics the wipers are not 68 style and it looks like 69 side markers in the rear the 68 did not have side markers in the rear the grill looks like it might be 68 though Quote Link to comment
fritzdixxon
Sweet! That car would look great with a grafic on the side maybe a tiger or a dragon! 1 Quote Link to comment

Dream510
Thanks for the love guys! The yellow one is a 68, previous owner had cut the 1/4 and fenders for those lights. It does have suicide wipers, 68 dash, and 68 tail lights. Don't have any pics of it now but will get some for you guys soon! 1 Quote Link to comment
Ranman72
i over looked the wipers and my eyes aren't good enough to see the short cowl in the pic 68,s are kind of special 1 Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
The wiper cowl is the small one with suicide wipers. Its a 68 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
I weould buff out and no grafics. Lower it get reliable and just drive it. oh that Toyota truck is a winner in the background also Quote Link to comment
Anonymous Waffle
Love the 68' tho! We must see more. Quote Link to comment
Dream510
The 68' is in really bad condition, It's really rotted from the inside out. I took the grill and the eyebrow trim off for my car. I don't think it's salvageable any more. Will be getting more pics of it later today though. Quote Link to comment
bananahamuck
If your not paying for storage i would keep the 68 in case you break a window or something.. Did you ever change out the front tie rods or ball joints?? You really should.. And i was hoping someone else would ask,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, what did you hit?? Quote Link to comment
Draker
It's salvageable! 2 Quote Link to comment
Dream510
Hey naner! Still on my list of things I need to do haha. It was about 4:00 am and I was headed to work still half asleep, pulled up at the gas station for gas. Was turning to pull up to the gas island thing and I hit the metal pole that guards the gas machine. I honestly thought I was gonna clear the turn and then BAM! Knocked me straight out of my boots. I know I fucked up but it's getting fixed. So here are some pics of the 68' Here's a Z that an auto body shop is gonna work on A vduboubleya and a vette I don't know guys, the 68 doesn't have a title either and it has an abundance of rust left and right. There's also a massive rot hole on the passenger side of the car haha 1 Quote Link to comment
INDY510
Someone will want that 68 ... but you should swap the rear pillar vents onto your 72 ... the metal pillar vents are kinda rare/desirable. How much longer are the mexi-style taillights compared to the 72 style ones? I've seen them with and without license plate lights Quote Link to comment
TENDRIL
soooo.....wheres the rot? that thing looks cherry Quote Link to comment
Draker
Floors are toasty but that is nothin! That's a keeper for sure. No pun intended. Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Otherwise, sell it to the 510keeper. He will rescue it Quote Link to comment
q-tip
Nice score on the mexi's and nice pair of dimes! Quote Link to comment
