Rick-rat
No Rick, see the block in your mind, then you tell us what it is. That doesn't make any sense at all, can't really tell by the thread title, don't like to read in something that is not there 1 Quote Link to comment

Rick-rat
Briggs and Stratton- small block. L-16- small block, 265 to 400 Chevy- small block, 260 to 351 ford- small block, 427 engines- big block. As I said I don't read anything into the title of the thread. 1 Quote Link to comment

I don't keep vehicles forever and will eventually sell it but certainly not before I finish it and slay some tires 2 Quote Link to comment

DaBlist
Never have seen a 521 small block, have seen 488 small blocks. Is this GM, Ford, or Mopar small block to start with? A small block is a type of vegetable juice 2 Quote Link to comment

Anderson521
So got the lights hooked up, wiring harness was pretty chewed up from previous owners. Poked around with gator clips for a bit. Still working on rear running lights and blinkers. 1 Quote Link to comment
paradime
As far as I know, there is quite a bit more to a V8 swap than cutting the fire wall and wiring lights. Can you fill us in on the motor mounts, transmission mounts, drive shaft, steering, suspension upgrades, breaks, exhaust, etc. 2 Quote Link to comment

KdotGong521
I wanted to do a small block for my 2nd option but stuck with nissan and got a KA on the stand now. Quote Link to comment
Anderson521
What did you do for braking? I've been trying to look in the different sections but I'm wondering if you have a link or suggestion as to which rotors, calipers etc to get that will bolt on Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The 10" rear drums are plenty good enough except for the obvious drawbacks, like keeping them adjusted. I won't mention brake fade as I don't expect you will be canyon carving or driving hard enough or long enough to require rear discs. Fronts do not have any bolt in discs and calipers but there are conversion kits made by members here. Type disc brakes for 521 or 521 disc brakes or disc break conversion for 521 into our search and start reading. Quote Link to comment
datson4life
The wilwood setup is really easy and bolt on, no cutting or welding, but the other setups are legit aswell, from mklotz and beebani Quote Link to comment
Anderson521
Sweet ill look into it more, thanks for the direction! Wildwood is loot but you get what you pay for Quote Link to comment
