Phixius
Washed the mildew off and cleaned engine bay. Best I could with garden hose anyway... Hmmm....fix in a pinch? Hmm... datzenmike
Clear the leaves out so the drains are open and working. Hoods are all bad in that front area. Condensation runs down in that poorly drained (and non painted) area. 1 Quote Link to comment

Phixius
I set a personal goal to get this POS on the road in the month of July. mission accomplished... everything is laBLUE...lagoon. car, blue. battery, blue. sparkplug wires, blue. gauge cluster, blue. engine block, blue. wheels, blue. ...my balls... how I got there... install engine and trans. L20B with 81 280zx trans. Rebuild 32/36 carb. and clean ... after a pin-sol bath turns out that a 510/521 clutch master is different than 610... so I had to modify one... and its now adjustable... 1 Quote Link to comment

Phixius
made a bracket for the matchbox to turn the box away from the exhaust... powder coated pedal assembly (this is a bitch to remove and install btw) and this little fucking thing is called the "ignition Inhibitor switch relay" (A/T only)... I HATE this thing.... took me a long while to find out why I didnt have a starter signal... open it up... remove its guts.... replace with jumper. put cover back on. looks factory. woohoo starter works.... but, now ive started it, the damn thing wont shut off with key.... 1 Quote Link to comment
Phixius
So, it runs. doesnt shut off. changed the volt regulator 3 times. no change. tested the ignition switch. good... turns out the alternator is over voltage. put a saturn alt in. boom, all fixed. and got rid of the auto choke relay, external volt reg, and cleaned the ugly 610 relay situation slightly. radiator had a crack... 2 Quote Link to comment

MMMmmmm, cocktail... next is interior... 2 Quote Link to comment

Phixius
Oh, forgot I stole the white z seats from my very neglected 510... well, traded the 610 seats. And, yes Abe is correct. He's sadly not punching mother nature. Just trying to start a machine to do it for him... 1 Quote Link to comment
Phixius
I bought this pile of rust the other day. Gonna take the front struts/brakes stuff, master, wheels and trans. This is a 79, so it's just a 620/z trans. .864 5th..? Any other things I should keep before I start parting it out? How much is the hatch louver worth? This thing has been passed around more than Jrocks ass at a furry convention.... I got a title, three bills of sale, and it's been part of a student auto shop... bills of sale are 600, 400, 300. With a peice of it missing everytime... Also called picknpull to see what I can get... wait for it.... ... $26... 3 Quote Link to comment
Lockleaf
Yeah, steel is pretty low right now. I was offered $120 for a complete 02 Silverado, missing only engine, trans, and wiring/swap stuff. 1 Quote Link to comment

hobospyder
I know a shop where that long block would fit right in. All the glass looks to be in good shape. Is it not saveable? Quote Link to comment
