505plus5
So, YESS... I have done some reading up on the threads already BUT, I had to officially throw the question for all out there. I'd like to know if there are any bolt on parts that can be used between a stock '84 300ZX stick & a '72 510 auto "IN A NUT SHELL." Mostly especially in the suspension. I'm aware of combining parts from a 280zx & 200sx to form a good suspension. My '72 510 is all stock and would like to keep it that way but I'm aware I should upgrade the suspension. So, I'm willing to do things to it that are reversible. I can run a stock wheels and tires setup with preferably inward space availability so as to not roll my fenders and run wider rims/tires. Perhaps I can even save some of the 300zx parts for later use, says wisdom. Thanks you guys. All input is very much appreciated. Quote Link to comment
carterb
Close to nothing. I assume you are asking because you have access to an 84 300ZX? The VG30 and 5spd will "bolt in" a 510 with the right kit and a lot of time and money. If it has 4 lug hubs, they will work on 280ZX struts to change the offset. That's about it. What are your goals with the car? If you plan to keep the car "stock", why do you think you need to "upgrade the suspension"? You might consider selling or parting out the Z31 for cash and then using that cash to buy EXACTLY what you want/need for your car. --carter Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
300zxturbo are 5 lug but the NA is 4. So non turbo struts would bolt on with some work. You would need the zx rims also to fit over the larger calipers. All differentials are R-200 and too much bother for an auto 510. Carter is right... almost nothing and nothing that is reversible. HRH
Everything will bolt on. After you modify the mounts. Like, all of them. Quote Link to comment

505plus5
^Hahaha. All is just possible with money- just say what you want and pay for it all to get done. Close to nothing. ... That's about it. ... If you plan to keep the car "stock", why do you think you need to "upgrade the suspension"? --carter Like I said, I don't plan on doing nothing major to the 510 but upgrading the handling would not hurt. The Z31 isn't mine. Just wondered what would fit. But, those are all valid points and basically money will get you anything done, for the most part. Another 510 wouldn't hurt building and modifying but I rather keep this one stock as much as possible. That was pretty much a nut shell answer. Thanks my peeps! ;) Quote Link to comment

All the answers above apply for the same reasons. 1983 is really the end of all the sluttiness between all the Nissan/Datsun cars. 1 Quote Link to comment
